ADMICARD 1800 Remowell is a hard-shell cardiotomy reservoir designed to collect the patient’s blood from the intrathoracic aspirators using the roller pumps of the heart-lung machine.
- 1. Retention for filtration (“cascade” process)
- 2. Decantation and separation of the surnatant.
Lipid and leucocyte reduction occurs through a special and unique filtration system able to internally hold back, in sequential layers, first the “fatty” particles and then a portion of white blood cells by simple filtration.
In addition, through decantation with a special “skimming” system, the lipids still present in the blood can be separated and retained.
